Mopar 13 Dart is a bruiser of a compact - For the fourth year in a row, Mopar offers a limited production car is decorated with lots of add-ons and a unique look. Black and blue car this year is '13 Mopar Dart, which was unveiled at the Chicago Auto Show with the now-signature paint scheme. Like the previous model Mopar, only 500 of the '13 Dart will be built. Past models including the Challenger Mopar '10, '11 and '12 Mopar Charger Mopar 300.

The all-black Dart gets lines, bright blue contrasting offset running the full length of the car, and styling mods such as aero-tuned body kit, gloss black grille, wheels and mirror caps. Surprisingly, Mopar chose to stick with standard bulbs Dart rather than dark, light smoke. The interior will be treated the same black and blue, but this unique cabin features a blue leather driver's seat to go along with a black leather seat for the rest of the passengers.

More than just a styling package, Dart Mopar '13 also get some goodies to complement the performance and handling with Dart turbocharged 1.4-liter engine, such as improved brakes with slotted rotors, lowered suspension, electric power steering and a retuned "sport-tuned" exhaust system.

January 31, 2013, Auburn Hills, Mich. - Chrysler Group LLC today introduced the limited-edition Mopar '13 Dart, marking the fourth special edition Mopar-badged vehicle made since the company partnered with Fiat SpA in 2009. The car will be displayed at the Chicago Auto Show next week.

Building on the success of the Challenger Mopar '10 Charger, '11 and '12 Mopar Mopar 300, the limited edition Mopar '13 Dart will be built and customized with Mopar performance parts and accessories. Production for a limited run of 500 units will begin this spring at the company's assembly plant in Belvidere, Illinois

"Our new Mopar '13 Dart will turn heads and stand out from the crowd," said Pietro Gorlier, President and CEO of Mopar, Chrysler Group's service, parts and customer-care brand. "For vehicles, special limited edition, we specifically hold the driver in mind we added select Mopar parts and accessories."

Inspired by the tuner scene, the Mopar '13 Dart is designed for the driving enthusiast. Powered by a 1.4-liter MultiAir ® turbo intercooled engine with a manual transmission, Mopar '13-shiny black sports car with a pair of Mopar Blue-length lines, which reflect each of the previous three Mopar-themed model.

For improved handling, performance upgrades include steering-gear calibration, 7 mm-lowered suspension and low-profile performance tires 40 aspects (225/40R18). From the racing scene, Mopar added a premium brake kit with slotted rotors. Breathing machine enhanced with performance-tuned exhaust and a more aerodynamic downforce to optimize and increase, Dart has a custom Mopar ground effects kit, which includes front chin spoiler, one-piece deck-lid spoiler, and unique and aggressively styled rear diffuser.

Unique exterior elements include Mopar badge on crosshair grille and gloss-black 18-inch wheels with Mopar logo on the wheel center caps. The interior is a unique vehicle, showing the serial plate, giving the driver a custom Mopar Blue leather seats with black accents. To keep the emphasis on the driver, the driver's seat is a Mopar Blue while all other seats are black with blue accent stitching. The whole point of the interior is a floating island bezel accented with blue Mopar paint and lighting. The interior is further enhanced with rich details, including thread Mopar blue accents, and light black chrome and gloss-black elements.

Along with serial Mopar badge on the dashboard, the special-edition Mopar '13 covers the industry's first wireless charging for smartphones, blue-stitched leather-wrapped steering wheel with shifter knob identically decorated, bright pedal kit-sport, Mopar premium carpet mats, door sill -keepers and 8.4-inch navigation screen.

A limited edition Mopar '13 Dart will be delivered to customers each with a private owner kit. Assembled in the case of custom-made black, it includes private plate with vehicle specifications, date of manufacture and a unique identification number (out of 500) of the vehicle. Along with Mopar '13 brochures and other memorabilia, this kit will include a limited-edition sketch of the vehicle signed by Mark Trostle, Chrysler Group's Mopar Brand's Chief Designer.
