SRT add new cost-saving Core models to Challenger 300 SRT8 - As the high-performance division of Chrysler, SRT brand using Chicago Auto Show to reveal the new "Core" model for the Dodge Challenger SRT8 and Chrysler 300 SRT8. Similar to the step made by Chrysler in Australia, two new Core models will get a significant reduction in price compared to the current SRTs, and each will get a few, new elements are also exclusive styling. Both new models will arrive in showrooms this summer.
Core Challenger SRT8 will start at $ 38,995 (excluding $ 995 for destination), which is $ 5,780 less than the current SRT8 sold. Along with lower prices, this new configuration gets classic colors like Orange Pearl Coat and Plum Crazy Pearl Coat (pictured right), and all models get black accents on the grille, spoiler, 20-inch wheels and Brembo brake calipers. The interior also got some unique elements such as cloth inserts in the seats (also used on the Viper SRT) and the "mini-carbon bezel" on the instrument panel.
As for the 300 SRT8, the new core version has a price of $ 43,995 marking a decrease of $ 5,000 over the current SRT8 300 models basis. The car also gets the same upgrades - inside and out - as the Challenger SRT8, but will also have a lot of matte carbon and piano black interior accents and a choice of red-painted calipers. The touch on this model is the addition of "6.4L" fender badges, which is a first for the 300 SRT8.
